They have some quirky cool things to see associated with the college, like a ONE sided stadium-the joke is visitors have to sit in the grass :D I do so love the "hometown feel" it has, with a court square and a great main street.
We lived there when I was in K-4th, and some of that time was in THIS house. I consider it one of the many that built me. I LOVE that song! Built in 1918, was my parents first house they bought. No HVAC and 3 GIANT porches. The rose garden is now just a fountain and some small shrubs. We had what my dad had hoped to be a REAL farm house. Meaning, 4 goats, 2 cows, umpteen ducks, chickens, cats, a dog or two and I was "that girl" meaning I had a pony!
The trip there from Nashville is beautiful. I am such a lake girl so, Land Between the Lakes area is amazing and has "that smell". The bridges are terrifying in their age and poor shape and narrowness but, getting to go home makes it all worth it!
